Bob was recently "stolen" from the support contractor after serving 7 seasons at McMurdo Station. His background is in communications technology, and he has electronics and engineering skills that will enhance our groups technological capabilities. He also has 25 years of experience in mountain search and rescue techniques and has had exposure to most of the Antarctic continent, not that us impractical beakers are going to need rescuing or anything. He is rapidly developing his biological skills, and will be giving them a trial by ice water shortly.
