Dan Writing:

Today I am a little happy and a little sad. Happy because our hard work in New Harbor is nearly done, and we can soon go back to a nice hot shower and cafeteria food. A little sad because we are leaving our little slice of heaven here on the beach below the mountains and glaciers. I suppose I will always have my memories. Like those of the strange and wonderful creatures I encountered under the ice.

Or maybe of the strange and beautiful geological formations.

And of course, the beautiful scenery all around.
